The ELK-150RT is a self-contained Siren in a tampered "No Rust" stainless steel enclosure. It features two sealed reed tamper switches, one on the Back plate and one on the Front Cover. The 5800SS1 Wireless Shock Sensor mounts directly on glass surfaces. It provides excellent detection for all types of glass while eliminating false alarms. The 5800SS1 is especially effective in acoustically hard, reverberant rooms like kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms that are prone to false alarms. Since it is a shock sensor, the 5800SS1 is immune to the sounds that cause false alarms. Installation is a snap, just pull the battery tab to enroll the transmitter, peel the adhesive backing and mount. There’s no need to open the case for any reason except to change the battery years later.
Although the 5814’s compact design slightly decreases it’s effective range to maintain a long battery life, it is the perfect solution for difficult to reach places and applications where aesthetics and small size is important (ornate doors/windows, casements, etc.)
