Guard Against Surprises with the Drive-Alert for your Home or Farm

How often have you been surprised or startled by an unexpected caller at your door? Or how often have you looked out your window to see a truck or car in your drive…or just leaving?

In this day of rapidly rising crime in rural and suburban areas, you need to know who is entering your property. All Three Models of Drive-Alert Driveway Alarms let you know just that – by triggering an electronic sound or turning on a light in your home whenever it detects a vehicle in your driveway.

The Drive-Alert works by sensing the motion of a metal object that passes within eight feet of a buried sensor. When a car, truck, or other object passes the sensor, a signal is transmitted to the control panel, which in turn uses the electrical wiring of the house to send signals to Remote Chimes, Lamp Modules, or Wall Switch Modules.

Easy to install.

Installing any of the Drive-Alert models is quick and easy. You simply bury the sensor 6" deep alongside your driveway – then, run the cable just under the grass line up to the control panel. (Just use a sharp spade to open a shallow channel for the cable and smooth it over by stepping on it.)

Then, attach the three color-coded wires to three clearly marked terminals on the wall-mounted control panel, located in a convenient place in your home – and plug the unit into 120-volt power. No hose across the driveway, no light beams to break, no buttons to push. All automatic, sensitivity-range adjustable, and hidden from sight.

The remainder of the installation is even easier. Depending upon the Drive-Alert model you choose, you will have Remote Chimes, Lamp Modules, or Wall Switch Modules to install. The Drive-Alert DA-503 supports the use of Remote Chimes; the Drive-Alert DA-504 supports the Remote Chimes, Wall Switch Module, or Lamp Module.

DA-504 Drive-Alert Driveway Alarm

The New DA-504 Drive-Alert Driveway Alarm system provides the same dependable method of vehicle detection as the DA-500. However, the DA-504 incorporates built-in X-10 transmitters that use a home's existing electrical wiring to transmit a signal which sounds chimes and turns on lights when a vehicle enters a driveway, or wherever a sensor has been buried. The once difficult and expensive task of hard wiring security sound into rooms and remote areas no longer exists.

This model uses the same method of sounding a chime as the DA-503. Additionally, the DA-504 uses two methods of turning on lights; the DA-060 Lamp Module which any lamp can be plugged into, or the DA-059 Wall Switch which functions as a standard on/off switch AND receives an alarm signal which triggers the lights to turn on for a chosen period of time.
