This allows the CPU board to be mounted within the protected area for higher security. Tampering with or even destroying the keypad will not release the door.

Where Single Gang Mounting is Preferred - for indoor applications which require the power and security of the KD-26, but which are more suited to a single gang plate to mount the keypad, the DK-16 combines the pad of the DK-11 with the separate CPU board of the DK-26. Operation is the same as with the KD-26.
