The G.R.I. Absence of Water Detector is a totally new and radical design created to safely and continually monitor the presence of, or confirm a minimum level of any nonvolatile liquid.
Following the successful design of the G.R.I. 2800 Water Sensor used to detect the presence of nuisance water such as those caused by a leaking water pipe, we were repeatedly asked if the same device could effectively be applied to detect the opposite state, or a low water or no water condition. Unfortunately, it was determined this could not be done with the existing sensors because of the rapid corrosive effects of the contacts due to electrolysis encountered when a minute flow of electrons is generated between two metallic points while immersed in a conductive liquid.
The G.R.I. Current Controller is an encapsulated circuit with connecting wires to AC power, a light fixture and door monitor switch. The device uses a Lithium battery to supply power to a microprocessor circuit that is safely isolated from the 120 volts AC. The low-level battery voltage is used as a control signal to the door monitor switch. This control signal through the door switch will then control the AC power to the light fixture. The G.R.I. Current Controller is designed to fit into an electrical junction box along with the connecting wires.

The G.R.I. ThermStats are programmable temperature monitoring instruments which can be used in the home/office, computer rooms, animal shelters, warehouses, freezers or coolers, equipment rooms, and any other application where temperature control is a must.
These sensors can monitor up to four separate locations at the same time using the optional remote standard or high temperature probes and will detect the number and address of each probe attached to the unit. The liquid crystal display is backlit for readability, displaying temperatures in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Both units will monitor G.R.I.’s Water Sensor and door contacts, have “C” form relay outputs, and have programmable high and low temperature limits.
