Description

The GEM-RS232 Control Panel/ Computer Converter is an interface module which allows the NAPCO GEM-P9600 control panel to be connected to a computer which may be used to display system status. The GEM-RS232 is approved by Underwriters Laboratories for supplemental use only. It provides signal and ground isolation between the control panel and the computer and will protect the control panel from shorts, transients and surges which may emanate from the computer or the associated cabling.

The GEM-RS232 has been designed to be permanently mounted inside the cabinet of the GEM-P9600 and can be connected to the computer in several different fashions (see CONNECTION).
