On-Q Home Lighting System
The OnQ Advanced Lighting Control System provides enhanced lighting control with superior reliability at a low cost.
ALC Modules provide system control of household lighting, outlets and appliances for security, convenience, and energy
savings. ALC is ideal for new residential and light commercial construction, including single family homes, town homes, and
apartments where low cost and "hard-wired" reliability are required for control of lighting and appliances. ALC can be used
with the OnQ Home Management System and other compatible products to provide complete home automation.
- Lighting Scenes - Lighting scenes can be created for watching a movie in your home theater, having a romantic dinner for two, or entertaining guest at a party. When entertaining, program the lights to "party" mode, and have all the lighting in the house adjust to a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere with the touch of a button. Imagine guests arriving to your house that is set with lighting in the kitchen, living room, and deck adjusted to a comfortable level, and all the you had to do was push a button to achieve the right lighting mood.
- Sophisticated Dimming Control - Local switch operation is intuitive. By simply pressing the top of the switch once, the light brightens to your desired level, while two taps changes it to maximum brightness. The lights can also be turned out by pressing the bottom of the switch once, or ramping the brightness down at a predetermined rate with two taps.
- Outlet Control - The ALC System allows you to control outlets with the touch of a button. Have you ever gone away and wondered if you unplugged the iron? Configure desired outlets to connect to a switch, and control all connected outlets with just on switch.
- Security Lighting - A dark, empty house is an easy target for an intruder. While you are away, give the illusion that you are home by programming the lights to randomly turn on. Turn on the kitchen and family room lights for a few hours an night, and the bedroom light for a period of time to mimic you moves while you are away, and keep intruders out. In the event of an emergency, such as a fire, the ALC system can light an escape pathway. It can also flash outside lights to alert emergency vehicles responding to the alarm.
- House Lighting - The ALC system can be programmed to different mode settings, such as "good morning". The system will automatically adjust all lighting in the home based on the setting it is on. Now when you go to bed, simply turn the system to the "night" setting, and let it adjust all lights in the house for you. Turn off all main room lighting, and turn on dimmed lights in the hallway for guest or children. The system can be customized to meet your needs.
