Linear Linear Single Door Controllers

Linear's single door controller entry systems are an excellent way to control access at a single entry point.

Common Features
  • Up to 480 programmable input codes.
  • 4 independent outputs with programmable actions, activation times.
  • Dual color LED indicators for access, lockout, and programming status.
  • Tactile feedback ensures complete key presses.
  • Internal sounder with selectable volume levels.

Up to 480 codes (1 to 6 digits each) can be programmed via any Linear keypad without need for a separate programmer. Each can activate either or both relay outputs.Timed anti-passback prevents use of the same code again before time elapses.

SENSE input: If programmed for “door sense,” input is wired to a normally closed switch to detect when door is open or closed. Forced entry or door ajar situations can be detected. If programmed for “inhibit,” input can be wired to service switch or timer to disable main relay.

REQUEST-TO-EXIT input: Can be wired to a pushbutton for codeless activation of main relay, auxiliary relay, output 3, or output 4.

ALARM shunt:Activates when access is granted. It can be wired to shunt alarm contacts on the access door/gate to prevent alarming when access is authorized.

Other programmable features include: system reset key(s); entry code length; adding a PIN; erasing any or all PINs; changing master code; on-time for each output; keypad lockout upon incorrect PINs; and anti-passback time period (or no anti-passback). EEPROM memory retains all entry codes and programming, even without power.

Common Specifications
  • ELECTRICAL
Voltage: 12-24 Vac or Vdc (ac supply must be isolated); power can be from access device or separate supply

Inputs: a. Open Request: terminal input activates the programmed control relay b. Door Sense/Inhibit: monitors status of a protected door or can be programmed to restrict access to relay 1 c.Keypad: for programming and PIN code entry
Display: two LEDs for system activity and program data
Sounder: programmable activation from key presses or output
  • ENVIRONMENTAL

MGT Gate Safety Edge Transmitter (DNT00068)

Linear MGT Gate Safety Edge Transmitter (DNT00068)

The MGT is for adding fully supervised obstacle sensing for motorized gates, doors or barrier arms in any Linear access control system. It mounts directly on the gate, door, or barrier and wires to a standard exterior safety edge sensor (for full featured compatibility, a Miller gate edge sensor with an optional .001 UF capacitor is recommended). If an object is hit during the gate closing, the sensor will present a closed circuit across the connecting wires and the MGT will transmit a message to the access controller to reverse the movement of the gate. Compatible with AM/II, AM-3, AE-1, AE-2, AE-500, AE-1000, AE-2000, and AP-4 commercial telephone entry and access controllers. Also compatible with RE-1 and RE-2 residential telephone entry systems.

The MGT is the industry’s only fully supervised gate safety edge transmitter. It automatically sends an hourly status report to the access controller, indicating battery condition and if the transmitter is operational. Should the edge sensor be disconnected, shorted, or tampered with, the MGT will report a trouble condition. The access controller indicates the trouble condition by flashing its OBSTACLE light; the system’s LCD display identifies the problem and a printer can log the event. The trouble condition can be easily cleared by pressing # and 1 on the controller keypad.

The MGT transmitter is supplied in a weather-resistant, fiberglass box. Its circuit board is coated to prevent moisture damage. The enclosure mounts to the gate, door, or barrier arm through sealed interior mounting screws.
